Auld Kirk – Luxury Holiday Apartment Conversion
The Auld Kirk Apartments are three luxurious 3-bedroom apartments built in a newly renovated and refurbished former Church. Special consideration was taken prior to project commencement to ensure the design of the apartments made best possible use of this magnificent old church. The result is well proportioned rooms built to an exceptional standard.
Carness Housing Development
This Design and Build contract involved the construction of a 32-unit residential development on a greenfield site at Carness, Kirkwall.
Berstane Manse Renovation
R Clouston Ltd were appointed to carry out the extensive renovation and internal remodelling of the historic Berstane Manse, perched on the hillside above Kirkwall.
Conservatory Project
This bespoke conservatory was delivered for a private client seeking a light-filled, comfortable extension to their home. Constructed with a focus on warmth, character, and craftsmanship, the conservatory is fully timber-lined, with detailed internal panelling, feature glazing, and carefully integrated brickwork.
Deerness Hall – Community Facility Construction (2009)
Completed in 2009, R Clouston Ltd was appointed as the main contractor for the design and construction of Deerness Hall — a purpose-built community facility located in the rural parish of Deerness.
Flett’s Corner Development

R Clouston Ltd was proud to act as the main contractor for the development of Sands Park, a purpose-built social housing scheme commissioned by Orkney Housing Association Ltd (OHAL) in the rural parish of Deerness.
